The Mask of Emmeline Jones.
With this being the first manuscript that I’ve actually taken any steps of the editing process with. I had to rewrite most of the story has it wasn’t the “down” draft I wanted. I can say with pride, the first draft is completed. My editor has had it for a bit and is slowly making her progress on it. As I get back chapters I’m working on updates and correcting the errors she has noted.
I’m so excited to be going through this process. But it’s also extremely terrifying. While I have loved writing and storytelling the idea of sharing something that means so much to me is nerve-wracking. But I decided after the NaNoWriMo challenge last year, that I had to try. I had to go for it. I just couldn’t let anymore time pass without making the attempt.
So now, what have I done to move in the right direction??
- Created a tic-tok accounts where I’m attempting to navigate that world.
- Created a Facebook account for post. I made this back in November because I did what I knew to do first.
- Set up an email account for all my author correspondence and accounts I would need in the future.
- I have an Instagram account as well.
- One of the very first things I did was create a Pinterest account. So I could have a visual place to pin things I’m using as inspiration.
Soon I will be creating an X (twitter) account so I can be in all the social worlds. I have cover ideas and will be working on that soon as well.
The most important thing I’m doing is writing. Every day I try to sit down and work on the story. I’m wanting to get the second round of edits done by the end of October. From there I’ll know more and get the next set of goal mapped out and fine tuned.
Thanks for following on with the journey.
