Whew, I made it another week. It’s another Thursday and I’m here with my random thoughts.
So, I have a few thoughts, below in list form, after some info about the book cover–check that out.
I did a cover reveal on my Facebook page, and only that page, as it’s reached the first goal of followers. I’m really in love with it. However, I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it as is. I may have jumped the gun and uploaded everything to my KDP account. And having a proof copy in my hand is an unreal feeling. So my cover (below) may be altered slightly or more than slightly. As I saw how it looked in real life. I will need to make some adjustments to make it look its best.

- How do I plan to publish?
I have a KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing). This is how I have published all my journals. There is another publisher that I’m researching that most self-publishing authors use. I will have editions available on my website that will be signed copies. I just have to figure all that out. Along with purchasing ISBNs. I really just need to make a choice and then do it. - What Am I currently doing?
Right now, I am patiently waiting for my book to come back from my editor. (Not really patiently, but trying really hard to be patient). And while that is happening, I’m working on book two. Book Two: The Education of Emmeline Jones is a HOT MESS! The points of view are wrong, the tense, and a million other issues. So I’m trying to think it through and figure out how to change that. - What Else am I doing?
I have decided to start the querying process. I am working on that query letter. I have my first —-application? is that the right word? Query submission. That’s the right phrase. I have my first query submission in the process. And won’t lie, it’s terrifying. But I keep promising myself that I can do the hard things. I have so many people feeding into me and giving me support. - Journals? Notebooks?
Yes, yes I have notebooks and journals for sale to support the cost of self-publishing. I have two new ones that I’m working to release. KDP and I aren’t getting along with the cover dimensions. The next two that will be coming out are a Morning Journal and a Weekly Journal. All profit from these sales goes to the purchase of my ISBN and my editor. So along with a point on my random thoughts, consider this plea to purchase some awesome journals AND support my self-publishing career. I still feel very clueless. I am sort of flying blind but I know what I want. I want my three-book series of Emmeline Jones in the world. I want that story to be shared. I want to self-publish those and get my feet wet. See what the publishing world is like for an indie author. Then I want to have a literary agent sign me, and get my second book series published. I want to be a published author. I also want to keep creating. I am already thinking about Nano. Crazy, yes, still want it, yes.
